Lymphoma Quick Facts

  • Lymphomas are cancers that develop in the lymph system, which is part of the body's immune system.

  • It is the most common blood cancer diagnosed in adults and the third most common cancer diagnosed in children

  • There are two main sub-types of lymphoma: Hodgkin’s lymphoma (or Hodgkin’s disease) and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. (I had Hodgkin's.)

  • Hodgkin's lymphoma is most often diagnosed in people between the ages of 15 and 30, as well as those older than 55.

  • The cause of Lymphoma is currently unknown
